Description: An exciting opportunity to join our culinary team on a full-time basis as a Sous Chef

Pay: Full-time Level 7 Manager 20% ($26.48 base rate + 20%=$31.776)

We are currently seeking a full-time qualified Sous Chef to join the Ainslie Group family at out Ainslie Football Social Club venue. We are searching for a person with a hunger to work in a fast-paced challenging environment to join our experienced, hardworking culinary team.

Daily duties involve:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in the efficient operation of all food services across the venue
  • Acting as Head Chef in their absence
  • Managing stock level including ordering of stock
  • Providing support to the Head Chef in the maintenance of current gross profit percentages including price comparing, stock waste management and security of goods.
  • Liaise with both the Head Chef and Group Executive Chef regarding requisitions for operational equipment, supplies, staff issues and training needs
  • Supporting the training and development of apprentices and new staff members
  • Ensuring high quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to our customers.

To achieve results, you will be self-motivated and able to perform your role with a sense of urgency. You will be creatively focused, have a good eye for detail and have a genuine passion for providing exceptional product to members and their guests.


  • Qualifications in Commercial Cookery
  • 2-3 years previous experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen as a Chef, or someone looking to progress up the ladder
  • A reliable individual who is a quick thinker with exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to motivate the team
  • A positive attitude focused on satisfying our members and guests needs
  • Passionate about all thing’s food, beverage, and hospitality
  • Flexibility and availability to work weekends, evenings, and split shifts
