Matt Millar – Golf Professional

The Ainslie Group proudly welcomes PGA Professional Matt Millar as the new Golf Professional at Gungahlin Lakes Golf & Community Club. With over 30 years’ experience in the golf industry, Matt has built a distinguished career as both a touring and teaching professional across Australia, Europe, and Asia.

A long-standing PGA of Australia member, Matt is renowned for his excellence, integrity, and strong community spirit. Locally, he is well known for his roles at Federal Golf Club and Gold Creek Country Club, and his leadership in charity initiatives like the “Sleepin’ Rough Invitational,” which raised over $120,000 for Vinnies Canberra.

Having lived in Gungahlin for nearly two decades, Matt brings deep community ties and a broad network across the Australian golf industry. His focus at Gungahlin Lakes will be on enhancing member services, growing coaching and junior programs, and delivering high-quality events.

Gary Dowling – Golf Professional

With a strong passion for helping golfers improve, Gary brings a wealth of experience, coaching juniors right through to Touring Professionals. His coaching and philosophies center around ‘working with a golfer’s unique skills and attributes in order to optimize the best results on course. Gary’s innovative ideas and dedication will help you better understand and enjoy your game. Gary is also a club fitting specialist who will put the right clubs in your hands to improve your game.
