Kitchen Hand – Casual

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking to increase our kitchen brigade across both venues, and we need people with a hunger to work in a fast-paced challenging environment. We are looking for a Kitchen Hand to join our experienced, hardworking Culinary Team on a casual basis and for the right person, an opportunity to move to a permeant position.

Daily duties involve:

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen, garbage room and all food service storage areas
  • Wash all cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, through utilising the commercial dishwasher and ensure all items are returned to their correct place
  • Ensure the kitchen Is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each service, including the removal of rubbish, and ensuring all surfaces, floors, and walls are cleaned to a high standard
  • Assist with the preparation of food in accordance with restaurant guidelines where required
  • Adhering to all current work health and safety practices

ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen as a kitchen hand, desirable
  • A positive attitude, reliable, punctual, hardworking, and organised
  • The physical ability for manual work, being able to lift at least 15kg
  • Flexibility and availability to work night shifts which include weekend and public holidays along with day shifts.

Food, Beverage and Gaming Attendants

About the role

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Food & Beverage Attendants to join our Function and events team to work across both of our locations, The Gungahlin Lakes Golf and Community Club and The Ainslie Football and Social Club.

This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to members and patrons, receive orders and action requests in a timely manner, keeping your service area clean, tidy and stocked whilst ensuring guests are looked after whilst in the function.

Role requirements: 

  • Providing a high level of customer service and treat customers in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage products and offerings as well as the current club promotional activities.
  • Operating the cash register and tills.
  • Table service of food and beverages to customers.
  • Dispensing bar drinks in the correct manner, following the established standards and in compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol guidelines
  • Performing various cleaning duties including collecting plates & glasses, washing dishes, cleaning tables & chairs, cleaning bars and tidying all areas of the Club.
  • Set up and pack down of function rooms
  • Ensuring personal presentation is of a consistently high level
