We were honoured to recently receive some special support form local media group Region Media, with a humbling write up from The RiotACT. Showcasing the passion and drive that Ainslie Group, and other venues around the Capital have adopted in a bid to raise needed funds for Canberra Hospital Foundation and by consequence, help improve the lives of patients, their families, healthcare professionals and fund equipment and services.

As part of Clubs ACT network, Ainslie Group has taken on the collaborative effort alongside sixteen other venues in Canberra. With the partnership enabling us to work alongside others in the community. It has been humbling for us to be able to represent and encourage social cohesion in support of this.

Region media journalist, Morgan Kenyon, interviewed our Marketing Coordinator, Tori Heron in relation to the fundraising.

“Tori Heron coordinates efforts at Ainslie Group’s club venues in Ainslie and Gungahlin. It’s a mammoth job, but she loves the challenge and describes it as a great opportunity for clubs to contribute in their own way.

“Illness and injury touch everyone, and we all have a story about when we needed to rely on local hospitals, either for ourselves or a family member,” she says.

“Recognising and supporting these institutions makes us proud.

“As clubs in the nation’s capital city, we tend to be a pretty competitive lot, but opportunities like this remind us that we’re all peers lending our individual strengths to a healthier, happier community.” (Read full article here)

With lots of exciting activations coming up in 2024, we look forward to being able to involve our community in them. June will see a $1 for every schnitzel sold go toward CHF fundraiser, a big Trivia Night in August, bucket donation drives at Ainslie Football Club throughout July and the most fun…a Wear Your Best Wig Day in September!

We hope to be able to keep the momentum over the next four months, and have high hopes that our goal of $10,000 will be surpassed!
