With only one and a half years’ experience in the kitchen, our most recent achiever Keshab Shrestha has just finalised his Junior Sous Chef qualification. We could not be prouder of his commitment and resilience in such a short time to attain his competency and wish to congratulate him on a momentous achievement 🍴👍🎉
With a Nepalese background, his last name translates to noble or great, and this is evident in Keshab’s self-assured and kind attitude in the kitchen, one which he now applies as part of the senior management team.
“It’s exciting, I have never been in a management role before. We have a good team, a supportive team and especially the head chef with their experience and guidance, I have learnt so much,” said Keshab.
After his 12 months of study, it has left him thrilled and motivated for the future with ambitions to continue studies in the culinary industry.
“I will continue my further studies, and I think I want to study more in depth about the food itself,” said Keshab.
Finding inspiration in his favourite – Nepalese cuisine – Keshab’s appreciation over the roots of food in particular, is the most amazing part. Undoubtedly, he will bring this flair with him as well as transform further as a talented chef and leader. Group Executive Chef Chris Simms said he holds great confidence in Keshab’s future potential.
“I’m very confident with the correct guidance that Keshab will grow into a very good manager and leader and should be seen as an example to all others in the kitchen hoping to progress through the ranks in the kitchen,” said Chris.
Again, congratulations Keshab from the Ainslie Group team!
