Hitting the Hundred: Zoe Skyrianos makes 100 games with AFC Tricolours

Round 13 – AFC vs TVFC

First running onto the field in 2013, Zoe Skyrianos has logged 10 seasons with the Ainslie Tricolours, and now approaches her 100th game this Saturday 29th April.

Known as the ‘heartbeat and backbone of the side’, her ability to read the play holds dominance over rival teams and causes fear in the eyes with her fierce attack on the ball.

Winning the award for Best & Fairest five times over the last 11 years with the Club, her undisputed commitment and passion has been exemplary and shows in her achievements and resolute determination to build Club success.

Throughout the years of 2014, 2016, 2017 & 2019 she went on to play representative AFL for the Capital, demonstrating her outstanding skills for the sport. Her time at Ainslie has enabled the growth of three women’s teams, which at one point was hard to come by. The environment for the women is welcoming and inclusive while also holding firm to the competitive nature that the game requires, and she has been instrumental in garnering that confidence within the girls.

Seen as a leader even when not listed as Captain, her peers, coaches, and all walks of life in the Club, respect and admire what a true inspiration she is. It comes with great pride that we can congratulate her on this tremendous achievement and thank her for being a pure asset and rarity to the Club.

Congratulations from us at Ainslie and here’s to 100 more!
